Today Molly went in to for some blood work to have her progesterone level checked. The IVF protocol includes intramuscular shots of progesterone every night until the pregnancy test, and then until 12 weeks of pregnancy, if pregnant. So they want to make sure the amount we’re injecting (1 ml…which is a lot to inject each night of an oil-based suspension!) is enough to help support pregnancy.
The nurse called and said the progesterone level is normal, though I’m not sure what the number was. And the waiting continues…not much longer now. 🙂
